 Sue Carlin lives and paints in Stow Massachusetts, Her colorful florals swirling landscapes and vibrant portraits are reminiscent of the works of Van Gogh and
Matisse. Sue is a founding member of out of the Blue Gallery in Cambridge Massachusetts and has had many solo and group shows in the Boston area.
Originally from Stratford, CT., She studied painting in theold master style with Frank Corvino in Fairfield CT. Sue later attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst graduating with a degree in fine arts. Here she studied
painting with John Grillo, a student of the abstract expressionist painter Hans Hoffman.
Upon moving to the Boston area Sue continued painting, and opened a gallery in
Cambridge with Tom Tipton, a local photographer. For eleven years they have had
shows for hundreds of local artists at their gallery and at twelve other area businesses where the work is changed monthly. Sue’s work has also been exhibited
through Rosenbaum fine arts in Florida and has been shown at art expos in New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. |
